Not a long time ago but now in many places in African, young girls are subjected to female circumcisions.  Many are working to try to get this outlawed, but until young girls are subjected to this horbile fate.  Look up female circumsicions on google...you will be suprised and disgusted.

It is a barbaric practice that renders a woman incapable of "enjoying" the s*x act.  I have heard it is mostly performed against the will of the woman.  The surgery (more like a mutilation) sometimes leads to death due to infection or blood loss and is still practiced around the world, mainly in Africa and some parts of Asia.  I know it is illegal in the states and in most civilized countries.

Yes women can be circumcised. It's commonly known as Female Genital Mutilation/cutting. The majority of female circumcision is in African countries but due to immigration and the spread of religions it has reached several other countries. It has  been found to happen in the United States, Canada and England albeit very rarely. Female circumcision can be a variety of things and is labeled as Type 1,Type 2, Type 3: Infibulation with excision and Type 4 which includes all other types of FGM.

Amnesty international estimates over 2 million girls are forced to undergo female genital cutting each year. FGM is used for many reasons but the main reasons are to prevent promiscuity, preserve virginity, prevent masturbation and improve male sexual pleasure.  Of course these are only just a few reasons it is done.
