Yes, women were made to produce milk as long as it is needed. In the old days women would sometimes hire themselves out as wetnurses to breastfeed other peoples children and some of them did it into their 50s. Also in the old days there were no contraception pills so women had many children and fed them all year after year. It's quite safe. As to feeding husbands, it's actually much more common than people think but most people will never tell.
