Can a younger brother be abusive???

I'm 16 and small for my age and my brother is 13. My parents gave us spankings when we were younger but never hit me more than that. My mom slapped my brother once when he say the "F" word to her, but other than that we are not a violent family. My brother is taller and stronger than me, and sometimes he and I are totally fine but other times he hits me HARD. Its usually when my parents arent home. One time he gave me a black eye and another time he ounched me in the stomach and made me puke. The time he gave me a black eye I called my parents crying and she made us both go in our rooms and shut the door and not come out till she got back. Then she acted like it was both our fault and yelled at us because she "can't leave us home alone without us fighting" (I will have you know i did nothing to provoke him that day, I was sitting on the couch and he hwas hyper and started punching me I put a blanket over my face and he was punching my head and gave me a black eye.) I've been in the same situation when I was in high school Once my brother punched me in the face and I had a black eye... My parents didn't say anything when they came back from work. They didn't report my brother to police, and I think they were scared what he would do to them if they actually tried to punish him. I still feel as though my parents just cared about themselves more than my safety. I tried to cover the bruise with with my hair, but one of my teachers noticed it and asked me if something was going on at home.. I did not say anything because I didn't want to get police involved. I stopped talking to my brother after that, and it has been 5 years since. Sometimes I have to tolerate his presence when I visit my parents... I still feel like the matter should have been taken care of, like reporting him to police, but I was too afraid to do anything and I was also afraid of shaming my parents and ruining the perfect family image that we had on the outside...

your a girl being abused? if i were the younger brother i would never do that of course i love sisters.. :) and they are women... that is an assault.you should tell your parents about is. ;)
