Can adding more ram stop the sound from working?

i added a gig of ram to my computer and reinstalled window's xp,

now even after reinstalling the device drivers and reinstalling them

i still have no sound,i checked for conflicts none.my computer has

on-board sound,and a surround sound card.neither one work's!but shows up that there are no problem's??? even tried new speakers,no help? HELP PLEASE I CANT HEAR YA.

  1. - Adding RAM has nothing to do with it.

    - Just try checking your peripheral connections again.


  2. No, adding the RAM would not cause you to lose sound.

    But you might have accidentally disconnected something while you were in the computer.  Go back in and make sure all the boards are tight, the wires are all connected etc.
