  1. Some cats and kittens alike are lactose intolerant. What this means is that they lack the proper digestive enzyme to properly break down lactose in milk. As a result they develop bloating. excessive gas/flatulence, vomiting and diarrhea. With that said, some cats are able to drink milk without any of the symptoms mentioned. However, as a precaution, avoid serving whole milk if possible and instead, treat them with specially formulated lactose reduced cat milk instead.

  2. Cats (as any other animal) shouldnt drink another species milk;  it wasn't intended for use of any other animal besides a calf.  I dont srink milk personally either, it just isn't natural.

  3. I am an elderly lady and have owned cats all my life. We always gave our kittens and cats a bowl of full cream milk every day, and our cats lived for years, up to 16 and 18 years,  with no obvious effects or illnesses. But things have changed now. The general opinion for the last several years is that the feline species should not have any milk or cream...only water. I have two cats now, one 8 and the other 6 years, I give them water only, as oldies  like us should change with the times, but they are healthy and happy as my other cats were. I hope they live as long as my previous MILK drinking cats did.

  4. According to this article ...

Five Foods You Should Never Feed Your Cat

Many cats are lactose intolerant because they lack the enzyme lactase. Without this enzyme, their bodies have a difficult time breaking down and digesting milk and dairy food products. This upset to the system can cause diarrhea and skin irritation

You should check the article.  Lots of good info of foods kitties shouldnt eat.  Some of them were a surprise to me.

  5. Maybe 5 tablespoons worth or a bottom of a cereal bowl.

  6. in small amounts but its really not good for them it upsets their stomachs etc. they make cat milk that can be purchased for about a dollar at petsmart.

  7. i give  my cat whole milk one time a week. and 2 times a week i give 2% milk. maybe try to give ur cat a little bit until you know if the cat likes it.

  8. It is better not to give cats milk. It can cause an upset stomach and diarrhea.

  9. maybe a few licks but that's it. cats do not have the stomach to digest milk and can get diarrhea.

  10. no not too much or they will get an ill stomach
