I've been told various things and have some friends who would like to wear their Disney costumes to the Disneyland theme park. We know children are allowed, but are adults and teenagers allowed? Without being thrown out or prosecuted for something or another?

  1. Only children 9 and under are allowed to wear costumes to Disneyland. However, if you go to the Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party at Halloween time, you are allowed to wear costumes.

  2. Yes go for it. I went last summer and there were people of all ages dressed up. I didn't see any of them get arrested but I also didn't spend the entire day with them.

I would call them and ask if you are worried about it.

  3. OC1999 is correct- no costumes for adults in any of the parks.

  4. I've seen kids, parents, teenagers, senior citizens all wear some kind of costume inside the park.  It's allowed, as long as nothing's obscene or slights one of the characters, they're fine with it.

  5. Sorry but the previous answers are wrong.  Disney only allows costumes for kids 9 and under.  If you have a costume before you enter they will just deny entry.  If you hid the costume and put it on once in the park they will ask you to change and possibly remove you from the park.

The one exception to this is during special events, such as Mickey's Halloween Treat that is held at California Adventure during select nights in October.  Where all ages are allowed to wear a cosutme as long as they are in good "family" taste.
