Would someone spraying air duster for laptops, keyboards, etc. on a vehicle's dashboard with the vehicle running cause an explosion? also, if the can was resting in the heat for quite a while, would that affect the results???

  1. No it won't cause it to explode from using it on the dash. The only way the air will ignite is if you put it in contact with a surface hot enough to make it burn, so unless you're spraying the engine with it, you're perfectly safe.

Make sure you open all the doors/windows though. If you inhale large amounts of it it can be deadly.

  2. No it would not explode while using it on the dashboard.

Yes it would explode if left in the vehicle while is was hot outside.

Yes it could explode if it leaked and entered under the hood.

  3. We used cans of compressed air in a job I used to do. On a hot summer day, the cans would sometimes burst from the heat.

  4. your ok using it on the dash but it could get hot enough to explode if it is left on the dash on a sunny summer day
