Hi so can all the PS3's (60GB) play PS2 game's. (And please No stupid answer's)

  1. Yep! The 60gb version is "backwards compatible" - the 40 gb arent.  


  2. Yes PS3 60gb is was a limited edition console which would allow you to play PS3 & PS2 games !

    It is totally compatible with both!

  5. Um, your question is kinda confusing, are you asking whether all models can play PS2 games or if the 60 GB can?

    The 20, 60, and 80 GB can play PS2 games, but they've all been discontinued

    The 40 GB and the "new" 80 GB can't play PS2 games

  6. An original 60GB console can. It has some sort of "emotion" chip or something that allows you to play PS2 games and with higher resolutions too!!

  8. Ok from my experience i know that not EVERY ps2 and ps1 game can be played ... dissappointed me alot

  9. All 60gb, 20gb, and 80gb ps3s can play ps2 and ps1 games, but the 40gb can only play ps1 games, and not ps2 games.
