Can all fsx spacecraft go into space?

Question

On youtube i have seen countless videos of people with the FSX space addon going into space with a space shuttle. I have also seen countless videos of people with the addon, apparently, using downloaded space craft & taking off going into vertical pitch shooting off into space. I was confused, if i had the addon, could i go into non- gravity space without using a space shuttle?
