Can all junk mail be recycled? If so, does it just go in with the newspapers and magazines?

You can recycle junk mail but you have to check the recycling bin you are going to to see if you can include junk mail.  We were able to take junk mail to a local school but the can told what items could and couldn't be put into the bin.  I'd imagine that you'd have to take out those plastic sheets that cover the address on the return envelope.  I really can't find any more specific answers.

Be sure to remove any identifiable information - even name and address, and never include application forms for credit cards, etc. Shred that or burn it or soak it in used dishwater and pulp it up, then recycle or toss.

when i get junk mail if it has a prepaid envelope  i send it back to them with someone Else's junk in it. keeps the postmen in a job ,

Yes it can be recycled. If it comes in an envelope with a plastic window take it out of that or rip the plastic bit out and its fine.

And remember to remove your address details if it's direct mailing.

I think some areas ask you to remove any plastic windows, other will accept.  Check with your council.  

Our council send out regular reminders or updates (with the bin collections) on what can or cannot be recycled, and where or how to dispose of it.

Don't forget to remove any plastic from inside.   Also anything important or personally identifiable and shred it.
