Can all mistakes be forgiven?

In other words if a person is genuinely sorry for something they have done, should they be forgiven?

and if you say no, what mistakes do you think are unforgivable?

I want to know your opinion, not what the law and god and your mom say is the answer.

  1. If the mistake is irreversible and the person who made the mistake knew or should have known BEFORE or AT THE TIME they made the mistake that what they were about to do or doing was wrong, and did it anyway, then it is perfectly understandable if someone refuses to forgive them.  It is a different matter entirely, whether they are forgiven DESPITE whether they deserve it.

One example of something that I don't believe should be forgiven?  Genocide.

  2. No mistakes can be forgiven. Life is punishment.

  3. This is a difficult question.I think it would be difficult for me to forgive and/or forget someone who has hurt a child(emotionally or physically). As adults we are supposed to protect our children from all harm.Sometimes the words "I'm sorry" are just too little ,too late.I'm sorry will not make  that child whole again .Perhaps counselling will help them heal.I just feel that when you rob a child of their innocence in life ( I'm not talking about sexually, but their whole perspective on life)  that sorry just isn't enough.

  4. If you can tell that that person is sorry, then they can be forgiven. As long as you know that whatever they've done will not happen again.

  5. If you killed another then no

So no not all mistakes can be forgiven

But at the end of the day it depends on the person who is forgiving

  6. Not all mistakes can be forgiven...the Holocaust cannot be forgiven, for example

  7. yes they can well i away say if you don't forgive your letting that person have something over you just let it go if you forgive it dosent mean you need to like the person
