Can all types of spiders breed with each other??

Like im saying does it have to be the same kind of spider??? Or like can they just be similar in size?

  1. The definition of species for animal and spiders and insects is the ability to breed and produce similar offspring.  If they were different and were able to breed they would then be classified as subspecies.


  2. No, they need to be the same species, just as in mammals.  As in a cat and a dog cannot successfully breed.  Even if they were able to produce offspring, the offspring would not be able to further reproduce (as in mules).

    Concerning the size question, some spider breeds have large size differences between the male and the female.  The female is very large, and the male is tiny, and after mating he can be dinner.

  3. Types and kinds are the wrong words.  Species is the proper word.  Closely related species can and do mate and yield hybrids.  No, size has nothing to do with it.
