I'm allergic to ragweed and its high in my town right now. Last week I got a bad head cold that lasted about 2 or 3 days. I also had sinus pain and pressure and slightly stuffy nose. Could this be from my allergies?

  1. think they're separate things like maybe the cause of the allergies is also causing the head cold

  2. yes your sinuses run through your face and top of head (frontal sinus) this can lead to headaches. please view the attached picture for a better understanding.  Also, you may want to buy some extra strength anti histamine and start taking them daily. This is the most severe time for allergy sufferers.

  3. yes definitely. I had hay fever and it made me absolutely miserable! I just started taking the non drowsy benadryl and it got better. I got a soar throat, sinus pressure, sneezing. All because of hay.

  4. I would say it is for sure from your allergies.

  5. Here is my best answer... If blood can travel to wherever the problem is, then yes... It can be from your allergies...

Allergies come from white blood cells that cause reactions... These white blood cells travel all along your body and can do alot of amazingly horrible things... Becuase they travel so much and so far and so fast, they can do just about anything to you and your body...

You should also note that when you are sick, your allergies are more affective/affected. White blood cells are released more while sick or have a cold...

  6. Head and sinus pain are a classic initial symptom of allergies. It happened to me over a week ago, and I thought I had bad eye strain at first, but it got worse over the next few days. I just got back from the doctor a few hours ago, and she said that allergies probably caused a viral infection of strep throat.

So, yeah, allergies can cause other illness, as well as making you more susceptible to it.
