No. United States has no ties with Lybia  for years now.

Yes.  --- We have better relations with Lybia than Iran and Iran has American's playing on their professional basketball teams. There are no laws saying where you can work, those countries decide if they want to hire you.

Any american that was born in America is just stupid for leaving to go live in another country. Why would you give up all that you have for so very little? Talk about greedy and ungrateful, no, actually go ahead, go to Lybia.

The USA re-established diplomatic ties with Libya just last year after Libya met all conditions set out. As of right now, I think there might be some sanctions stll in place but a person has always been able to get special permission to work/visit in restricted areas. I would contact the State Department to ask what the rules are pertaining to Libya and how to go about getting what you want.
