  1. Yes.  If you have not already moved there, find out about citizenship requirements at the Irish Consul.  If you have moved there, ask at the local courthouse.  

    Once you have your Irish citizenship in hand and your brand new Irish passport, you can revoke your US citizenship.  Don't do it before then because you can't get it back.

If a person of any nationality has a parent or a grandparent who was born in  Ireland - and can verify this by documentation, namely,  their birth certificate (and in the case of your parents, their marriage certificate) - then the answer is usually Yes.   How do I know?  Because I have done it,  and now hold an Irish as well as a UK passport!  Hope that helps. .

  3. if you do you would have to give up your American citizenship.
