Can an Ancient Civilization artifact be The Nile River?

I have to make an artifact and im planning to take a piece of cardboard and thne put the nile river n some land on it. Is that an artifact?

  1. Nope. An artifact is something made or modified by humans...even if the river was diverted it would be a far stretch to call the river itself an artifact. Though technically that would make it modified by humans, your teacher may not be willing to accept that as an example of an artifact.


  2. It's not exactly an artifact. If you did the Nile River with wheat growers in the Nile River basin and large fields of wheat, that would be better. However, I would make like a clay pot to store wheat or water or other items that would have been used in daily life. You could even make a mini-pyramid, you would just have to  get some rocks and build one up.

  3. The only way that you can call the Nile River itself an artifact, is by researching some infra-red NASA photos, taken from outer space, which reveal that the Nile River was at one time diverted, probably my mankind, artificially!
