Can an Aunt/Cousin sponsor uk residents to go live/work in USA,

Question

My husband has an Aunt in usa, we have visited many times Oakland Ca, and we would like to go out there and live/work there, can she sponsor us to do this via a visa, i have been reading up on it, but there seems to be so much tape etc my head is now like jelly, thanks in advance.

only an immediate relative can petition for a permanent resident visa: spouse, parent, children or siblings. any relationship other than that would not be possible.

In what respect?  Designing or building the systems?  Anything else would not be considered senior/specialized enough to warrant a visa.
