Can an Imate Jam connect to the internet in a Wi Fi area?

I have to go for a course on public speaking to the UK on Monday and instead of taking a laptop, im planning to take the Imate Jam and do my research there cuz taking a laptop is inconvinient.

Of course.. Usually all smartphone have wifi conectivity

Yes, you can, if and only if you have an SD wifi card. Imate Jam doesn't have built-in wifi and you need an sd wifi card to be able to connect to a hotspot.
