Can an LCD TV screen be fixed after a Wii remote hit it?

So many wonderful stories about playing Wii and breaking TVs...well this just happened to me. My friend has a Sony Bravia XBR TV w/ LCD screen and the Wii remote slipped from my wrist (yes wrist deal was attached - maybe not as tight as it should have been) and hit the TV causing damage to it. There are 2 indentions on the screen and part of the TV is blacked out with some red, green and blue spots. Will the TV be repairable?

"Technically," it can be repaired, assuming you can get the part. Practically, you are screwed! This is not covered by the TV warranty or any home insurance policy.

The installation of a new LCD screen will cost just about as much as getting a brand new set. Live with the damage, or get a new TV, with a new warranty.
