if the maf is not working well, i have a car that is roughly idleling, i disconected the connector from the sensor and it idled good like at 1k but its not drivable like that bc i took it for a run about 40 mph it couldnt go no more but when its connected it idles up an down and sounds like it wants to die but when you hit the gas it goes just fine, idk what is it i already did a tune up (spark plugs, wires, dist cap, air filter, oil change)

  1. Yes, it causes misfire, not running right, not idling right, and makes the computer go into safe mode when unplugged "no more than 40mph". You diagnosis is correct, change that maf.
