If a Jehovah's Witness is one step away from becoming an apostate can they be helped out?

Can they get better spiritually?

Or when is it too late and they become apostates?

  1. Can they be helped?  Helped how?   If you mean to get better spiritually, YES they can .Even the Watchtower understands this because they have stated that if anyone reads the BIBLE alone, they will believe the same things Christendom believes.  Of course, the WT thinks that is becoming an apostate but the Bible tells us that if we trust ONLY in Jesus, we become His, not an apostate.

The question you need to ask yourself is whose apostate are you?  The WATCHTOWER...OR GOD'S?    I think it is time to leave the tower and come to Jesus for salvation.

Jesus said "I am the way, the Truth and the Life, No man comes to the Father but by me"

Notice Jesus did not say the Watchtower is the truth or the way and we can not get to the Father by ANY organization or religion.  It is only Jesus!

Mara   according to the WT, one can become an apposte simply by reading the BIBLE alone....or in other words, reading it without all of their literature.  Odd that God could not speak without someone telling you what HE said!

  2. No one will get better spiritually without the truth that is Jesus.

    No organization is the truth.

  3. I cannot answer when one becomes apostate because it really comes from the heart condition.

When it becomes to late really is at death or Armageddon. If you look at the account of the Apostle Paul he even persecuted Christians Before his heart changed. So no matter how far over the edge one might feel they have gone there is a God of tender mercies begging all of us to return to him.

It is different with ones like Judas who knowingly grieved the Holy Spirit by betraying Jesus with a kiss. Those who have been called to be of the 144,000 (Rev 14:1)  have also been granted a special relationship with Jehovah threw his holy Spirit so if one of these turns apostate they would probably be in jeopardy of also grieving the Holy Spirit.

The one way to make sure not to go down this road is to watch for any attitude we might have that is self serving. We need to have a heart condition that Jehovah can mold and we also need to be cautious of any murmuring especially against the faithful slave that has been appointed to feed God's sheep spiritually.

  4. It all depends on what the person beilves is true in their own heart.

To most  sincere Jws  in a good relationship with jehovah they can reconize apostate garabage 100 milles away...

but to spirtually weak JWs they are easy prey for satan .

In order to become an apostate , you first have to be a BAPTISED JEHOVAHS WITTNESS.

Now in order to do this you must have study with a qualified person, attend meetings regularly and go out to service. And of course have  a relationship with Jehovah God. Then you decide to dedicate your life to jehovah with all your heart ,mind and body..your whole power.

JWs who become apostates are going to websites that speak twisted things and outright lights and watch  fake videos on the youtube and start beilving the apostate talk because one: they re not comparing what the learned  what the apostates are teaching on their sites, two they are undermining the power of satan, ( these apostate groups are powered by satan, how else can you describe a group that actively campagains against another religion with hate mongering ,picketing, dressing  up in devils costumes and shouting in to microphones??)

The  person who is on the border line needs to continuing digging for them self  and praying .Before I became a wittness I wanted to see what all these anti-JWs had to say but in conjuction  I had a bible study with an overseer and his wife and went to the meetings to see if this was all true. Then I researched the watchtower and track society money, history etc)  I am not the brainwashable type nor am I weak willed. I reconized the truth from lies.

I see becoming an apostate like disloyalty in marriage, cheating on your marriage mate. You are being disloyal to Jehovah God.

I know because my sister got baptised with out making the truth her own, with out really knowing what it means to be a dedicated servant of jehovah  and guess what ? She fell prey to an apstate but she was always one that if she didnt know something she would autoamtically say"Oh its up to your conscience" She would not dig.

You will find that ex-JWs and apostates are ones that did  not want to live up to Jehovah's high standards. They want to take the easy broad road. No service, no preaching, they want to celebrate xmas  whatever. what it boils down to is they are lazy and the truth has not taken hold in their heart. Apostle Paul spoke of these men 'that were not of our sort' and Jesus himself said ' Oppressive wolves would enter among you'

Like the other brother said , only Jehovah knows the heart of people and will decide who will merit destruction. All you can do is pray for the person and remind them that even though there all all these lies out there encourage them to go to the source. A person can point you to a million websites that state JWs are liars and dont beilve in Jesus (we do) but just as easy you can find websites that say the Mother Teresa was a  Space ailen .

  5. JW's are not the only sort of Christian religion (sect, denomination, etc) that wont teach you the true way to heaven.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jehovah's witnesses don't believe that Jesus was divine as well as human. They deny the trinity. Thier teachings will only lead a person to h**l. The true way is to be born-again, or saved - whatever you want to call it - it is an inner transformation that has nothing to do with any church. Drop me a line if you would like to know more.

  6. Yes. It says in Proverbs 15:23 that " a word at the right time is O how good!" Encouraging expressions from fellow christians and the elders in the congregation could help some on to not give up and to continue in Jehovah's service.

If those who are currently apostates and they repent and Jehovah accepts their repentance, they still have a chance too. Some apostates may turn back before the end comes and from the scriptures we know that Jehovah is happy when

people choose to return to his organization.

Primarily we must be concerned with our spiritual progress so that we don't fall to the wayside.

  7. As far as I am aware a even Jehovah's witness who is dis-fellowshiped can be forgiven can be reinstated - so by that it is never to late.

Of cause if they are happy where they are at now then they will not really want your help to return.

    *******ADDED INFO********

I find it so funny when people comment on things about a certain religion which they know very little about.

  8. We're all Christians so I think we all can get better spiritually.

  9. Yes, they can get better.

My motto is "Where there is life, there is hope".

It may take some real soul searching, humility, publicly asking for help from those who are stronger spiritually, and even changes in lifestyle, but it IS possible.

An apostate that is probably beyond help is one who is printing their own WT and AW (I've known some), setting up their own church (I've known several), and recruiting at the doors of the Kingdom Hall.(We have one in our area).

And who am I to say they can't change.

A person might want to read the account in the Yearbook (forgive me I can't remember year) for Romania. A large group (thousands) left several decades ago over the Romans 13:1 issue. They set up own meetings, conventions (to this day), go door to door.

There have been repeated efforts to help them see the issue and the necessity to not go separately. Even brothers from NY went. And many of these did accept the "superior authorities".

Great efforts were made to help them. Even after they were active in what might be thought of as apostate activities.

Also the Yearbook about Ukraine, and the brothers who mistrusted other brothers, and set about separating. Efforts made there also.

So there would be very few instances where it is too late.

But the danger is that it is too late for some. I think those individuals know who they are. But if there is an inkling of a thought to set matters straight, it is not too late.

  10. Please! if you want to stop living by the rules of JW's then stop but dont go against the holy spirit cuz remember thats unforgivable!I

  11. My advice for that person is to take that one step, being well informed aint that bad, no matter how you label it...

  12. It's only too late when God has begun to reveal to an individual that He is not present in the organization.

Once God intervenes, there is no going back!

*I mean no disrespect, but that is what happened in my life!*

  13. An apostate is a person who has received the gospel message and has accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour and then proceeds to reject the gospel message and Christ Jesus.

This is the unforgivable sin of grieving the Holy Spirit - it is tantamount to saying Christ Jesus is not of God but of Satan.

Anyone who is one step away from becoming an apostate can be helped out and get better spiritually by the intercessory power of prayer, by the reading of the Holy Bible and by the Holy Spirit working in their life. However, I get the impression that you think leaving a religious organisation is apostasy. Religious organisations do not save. Only faith in Christ Jesus saves.

  14. I only study with the witnesses, but from my understanding if someone realizes and repents they will be forgiven. If the person feels he or she hasn't done wrong when they have, they will be disfellowshipped. Don't know if that is what you're looking for.

  15. First, people hunger for the truth, and investigate texts, scriptures, etc, finding the truth about things they ever new, or if they new them, they were distorted or not complete.

Then, they become Adventists, JW's, Mormons, Pentecostals, etc...Go to their 'church', Temple, Kingdom Hall, 'congregation', etc...

Finally, they setlle there and they never "investigate", hunger for the truth and they take everything they teach them, accepting 'doctrines' or 'mandates', or 'customs', or 'proceedings' which are exclusively from the group they joint to. At one point - although not everyone, only the "thirsty ones" with lots of thirst for the truth - will begin inquiring, investigating, listening to the voice of God - wherever He may speak from - and they will be confronted with "elders", "presbiters", "mature brothers" who will insist he/she must become more mature and 'fit' into the group. This will happen to - not just JW's - but to everyone, because "ravenous wolves will come into the congregation, and will treat the flock with love". If you are a JW (or whatever), remember, God existed much before any of these people, and although they may teach the truth (some of the truth, or maybe a lot of the truth), they - by no means - ARE the truth. Only One is "The, Life, The Truth and The Way". It is Him we all must follow, with or without the JW's, the Adventists, The pentecostals, the etc, etc, etc...

  16. Even if one leaves the Watchtower and speaks against it, they are not an Apostate !

In the context of  following Jesus we could only be an Apostate if we then spoke against Him !

The Watchtower is not Gods Organization.

  17. I don't think you have much choice if God wants you to see the bibles true message in an unadulterated fashion you are going to be an apostate whether you want to be or not.Who wants to be labled an apostate and shunned by those they love and care for?Really there is no stopping God.You love Him and you will be willing to destroy all the family times and be shunned by those who you love the most (crushed) and not even invited to your grandchildrens weddings .If you love him you will give up all your happiness in this life to be with him in the next.I know I did it.Not a very broad and spacious road. But it leads to Him.

  18. One who leaves another organized religious faith and joins another is an apostate.

So FyI: If you were of a different faith before you were a witness you became an apostate of that faith or cult what ever it is that you once belonged to.

FYI : Just because someone chooses to become affiliated with another faith and reject the one he formaly came from does not mean that one has turned his back on G_d.

    Shalom
