Can an accordeon reed be fixed and is is expensive ?

Yes...When I worked in a music store, the manger at that time repaired accordeonsin the back and I asked him if he was high on that smell of heated wax :-)

What they do is, they heat up this blade and remove the old wax and the reed, and replace it with a new wax and YES, with new wax...

Simple procedure.  he used to tell me that it was longer to find which reed was out of tune than to fix it.

Yes, and if you want to look up accordion repair people in your yellow pages, better spell the word correctly. You'll most likely have to bring the instrument in to get an estimate on the repair(s). Sorry, I have no idea what you think is "expensive," nor how much the repair will cost.
