Question:

Can an adult ever wear a bow in her hair or is that for little girls only?

I have been trying to find a bow for my hair but they seem to only make them for little children. I was hoping to wear one with my wedding dress since it has little bows down the back rather than wearing a flower, or a tiara. But is that appropriate? It seems that bows are for the flower girl only.

  1. You should totally rock the bow if that's what you like!!! As long as you aren't rocking the huge butt bow, then you're good to go...hahaha ;)

Here's something cool you can do if your hair is long enough:

Cool twist to match the bow idea.

Or you can incorporate the bow in the veil like this:

There are many different options available; just depends on what you have in mind. If you or someone you know is creative, you can have some of the same type of material from your dress or flower bouquet ribbon be made into the type of bow you would like to wear:

  2. oh yes. as long as it's not the HUGE 90s bows, it's fine. I think a french twist with a bow on the side would look beautiful and very classy.

  3. I think its for girls....you're a woman now.

  4. Since you have little bows going down the back, why not go even smaller, and buy mini bows at Michael's or your favorite craft store, and hot glue them to bobby pins.  Then you could do a real romantic, twisty updo and place the bows in different places on your updo.  As far as using a larger hair bow, you are the bride, and whatever you feel like wearing goes. Just remember that trendy or quirky things might date your pictures, and years from now you might wonder what the heck you were thinking!

  5. yea thts real cute

  6. yea they can

  7. Done right and with the right dress it could look lovely.  Do you want a veil?  Because if you don't want a veil you could do a fascinator like this...

Otherwise there are some nice bridcage veils like this with bows attached...

Or veils with bows attached (see the 1st on this page - and 8th from the bottom)...

Or you can have something like these under the veil...

  8. Yes I think it works. You would have to go to an arts and crafts store because they have lots of options, even though they aren't necessarily for your hair. I think as long as it is elegant (such as lacey) and not hot pink or something it's ok and pretty. I think a thicker bow would look more appropriate. It would be really like if you braided your hair and weaved it in or something. Good luck!

  9. Find someone to make you one to go with your dress. There are seamstress's that do this kind of thing, or maybe someone knows a crafty person that could make you one to match the bows on your dress. It's your wedding, do as you want.
