Can an american serve in the british armed forces?

i am a us marine and if i one day wanted to join the royal marines or any branch of england's armed forces, would that be allowed? are there any countries that allow this? i know immigrants can join the us armed services under certain conditions...

Don't know to tell you the truth. Used to have several friends in the 82nd that did a stretch with the British paras and came over here for the combat experience.
