Can an apha mare (breeding stock) with an aqha dam be registered aqha?

I have a registered breeding stock apha mare. Her dam was a registered aqha mare. Sire registered as apha.

  1. ummm...I think your horse only needs to be half aqha to be registered, but you might want to check out their website first: aqha.com

No, you can not register your horse with AQHA.  To be eligible for registry in AQHA both the sire & dam must be registered Quarter Horses.  The only other type of registering that can be done through AQHA is if one of the parents are of Thoroughbred descent.  They are than registered in the Appendix registry.  

    You're mare is a Paint horse, Solid, but a Paint and can not be registered in any other regestires.

  3. I dont think so but the final desision of regristration relies upon the comitee.
