Can an english company operate in france?

my company is registered in London. I am planning to move to France and operate there. What do i legally need to do? Can i have office rent, employees and everything under this english company? Or must i register in France and open a branch?

if you are going to operate in france with French employees and french offices then you need to be registered in France and pay their taxes.

If you are running english employees and offices from France then you need to be resgistered in England.

Contact the "Chambre de Commerce" in the area where you plan to move and ask them addresses of "boutique de gestion". These "boutiques" are in fact financial advice centers.

They will give you all the information you need. You will probably have to open a branch, register it locally and pay local taxes on local income as well as other local taxes on buildings, refuse collection, etc.

You may also work in France from the UK without the need for an "établissement fixe", in that case, you would not be liable for income tax on your activities in France, they would be taxed at home.
