Question:

Can an evergreen tree grow new roots?

I planted a little tree a few weeks ago, I had some issues with squirrels trying to dig it up but it was doing good. I checked on it this morning and it was torn from the ground and the roots seem to have been eaten. I didn't have enough time to take a closer look at it but I think there is still a base where the roots were growing, attached to the tree. It's just a baby tree is there anything I can do to save it?

  1. Maybe.

Re-plant it.  Water frequently.  Use a root stimulator in the water.

    Wait and see.
