I would say yes. If your business will make over 30,000 dollars a year you will need a GST number. Anyone can get one; you will not need to give them a SIN number.

I do recommend registering for the GST, then any GST you pay out you will get back. When you register your business, register it as a corporation, list a family or friend who is Canadian as one of the directors of the business and leave that persons SIN number on file with the government.

Also they will ask for an address. Get a post office box at your local UPS store, and give them that address not your home address.  

Remember you never need to give them information you don’t want them to have, they may ask for it but you do not need to give them any information only your name and date of birth.
