Can an illegal immigrant just go to the airport and leave on their own?

if an illegal decides they want to go home, can they just leave the UK or will they have to face deportation?

If they have the funds to buy a ticket sure, otherwise it's the job of the Home Office to ship them home.

Unlike some of the ignoramuses here I have read a little on the situation, and human rights is an issue for a tiny minority of immigrants to this country - the majority come to work and/or study.

Oh what a pleasant thought, unfortunately most of them have no intentions of leaving as its a easy life here what with all the hand outs and free-bees why would anyone want to leave this green and pleasant land

Personally.. i don't care how they leave.. just leave. And take some of these chang-wangs with them also.

Well I do not know for sure but I think they can leave but will be 'spoken to' as they do so and an entry and ban will be made.

In UK you can come and go as you please. Just claim infringement of human rights and you can do what you want.
