  1. Marriage has nothing to do with the question if someone can get a US drivers license or not.

    In fact, marriage to a US citizen does not give automatic legal status.

    If you are here legally you can get a drivers license.

  3. Sure.  My mum, who was a Japanese citizen up till 1993, had a drivers license even before she married my citizen dad.

    Those 'undocumented' are actually 'highly documented' with fraudulent documents our government readily accepts.

  5. Depends on the state - Is the immigrant here LEGALLY? Some immigrants (AKA illegal aliens) are married to US citizens. It doesn't matter who they are married to. Their legal status is what counts.

  6. You have to have at least an Alien Registration card a.ka. green card to obtain a driver's license if you're not yet a naturalized citizen.
