Can an immigrant get their GED?

What are the requirements for getting your GED? I may be moving to the states with my boyfriend who is not from there..would he be able to get his GED without being a resident?

  1. Legal immigrants are able to do many things in the US including going to school. The GED programs for adults normally charge a fee for the course.


  2. Not legally but I have seen many of them get a DUI.

You will have to check with the requirements for the school that he is planning to use to get his GED.  Most schools do let undocumented immigrants get their degrees!  Get him a tax ID number and he can use that instead of his social security number...but like i said most colleges/universities allow anyone to apply.

  7. Yes, exchange students can graduate. It would be discrimination to say no. Thus you would have a civil rights law suit.
