Absolutely not, unless it's only for a short time. Why put yourselves through all the c**p?...and there will be c**p.

Yes! you just both have to be willing to make it work!!  My friend's boyfriend went to Spain for half a year, and they got webcams and made a point to talk everyday.  My other friends didn't even start DATING until the girl moved to Switzerland, and they are 2 years and going strong.  I never used to think they could work but I've seen so many example that have. If you are in a mature relationship it can def happen! Just talk it over first to make sure it's what you both want.
