Can an international student take more than one online class a semester?

I know the requirements state 12 credits per semester. I was wondering if I can do all 12 credits at a community college, but online (and still satisfy all the F-1/Student visa requirements). I do know that one class is allowed to take online.

Only one online course or a total of three credits may count towards the 12 required credit hours per semester.

For example. If one online course is three credit hours, then you can only take one. If an online course is one credit hour, then you can take three of those to equal the three maximum credit hours of online or distance learning.

The idea of an F1 student is that you must be on-campus and in a class-room environment, if this was never your intention then you could have stayed in your own country and done distance learning from there.
