Can an ipod's hard drive be installed in a Pda?

i have an HP iPaq 3600. I was wondering can a hard drive be physically installed onto the main processor of the pda? also can the motherboard be changed??

  1. First of all I believe Ipods have a 1.8 hard drive, physically impossible to fit into a PDA.   Second of all PDA's do not have Hard drive connectors.  I have an Ipaq hx4700 624mhz, with SD and CF support.  In a couple years they are going to come out with 128gb CF cards.

    CF cards are better than Hard drives since they consume less energy and smaller.  Or you can use SDHC cards with Windows Mobile 5-6.1 devices.  

    I have an 8gb CF card and SDHC card with a total of 16gb for my pocket pc ( I think is more than enough). I consider these better than hard drives since they consume less enrgy and are more durable.  

    Yes the motherboard can be changed, but what will be compatible?  Doing so will cost more money and work than getting another PDA.  Look for high ram, processor speed, and CF SD memory cards support.
