I am having trouble getting pregnant, I have had 2 misscarraiges and have had assistance from main stream medical specialists but a friend of mine suggested going to an irridologist for some answers.

Has anyone seen an iridologist for fertility before?

If you have seen an iridologist for another reason i'd be interested to hear about that too

  1. "eye" don't "see" how an iridologist could help you, lame I know.

  2. No, of course not.  Your friend is misinformed.

Iridology is a quack "body map" form of alternative medicine.   Similar to reflexology and auricular acupuncture.

It is based on the implausible and unproven notion that the health of various organs can be seen in the patterns in the iris.

It was invented in the 19th century by a fellow called Peczely who noticed a pattern in  the eyes of a man with an injured leg, and he recalled that it looked like the eyes of an owl with a broken leg he had looked after when a child.  How's that for research?

Iridologists given high resolution photographs of peoples eyes were unable to correctly identify any of the actual diseases those people had.  When given repeat test, they were not consistent in their "diagnoses" when shown pictures of the same eyes again.  In other words, they did no better than random guessing, which is essentially all they do.

It is pure, unadulterated quackery of the highest order.

    Utter rubbish.  flummery.  woo woo.

  3. I have seen 2 iridologists, one in New Zealand, one in Australia. Both were almost identical in their diagnosis of my health, and I have quite a few problems. I have been following the advise and have improved heaps. Do try it but do some homework in finding a reputable one. Lots and lots of luck.

  4. Wellll...actually I am an Iridologist...Master Herbalist and Life Coach too...

I have only dealt with 3 women who had fertility issues...all had had hormonal treatments, tests etc from the medical side of things.  2 of the ladies did get pregnant after I saw them...both have children.  The 3rd as far as I know did not.

Various reasons for this to happen or not...I will say there will be those who simply are not able to get pregnant.  But!  There are many exceptions and there's no reason for you not to try some other, non-invasive options.  The women I worked with did some cleansing and some female herbs and we worked on 'attitude' as well...as you'd be surprised how your feelings around this can make a difference.

Many Iridologists are very good...and some can be a bit over the top with issues they have you work on.  Just be sure they don't overwhelm you - as that is usually not the way to do things.  Good luck.

PS..you are welcome to email me anytime.
