Can an mechanical engineer sign off on electical plans?

  1. If you are asking, then the answer is probably: no.

    If these plans are for public use, then you need a Professional Engineer's license to sign them.  Part of the terms of having a PE is that you know what you can and cannot sign off.

    If this is for something internal to your company, and does not require a PE, then it is up to your own company's policies as to what you can or cannot sign off.  See your supervisor for more details.

    In general, MEs do not sign off electrical drawings, anyway.
