In beach volleyball (and court, actually), it's legal to go under the net and cross to the other side of the court to bring a ball back into play as long as it stays outside the antennae.

I've seen this happen a few times in the Olympics, and a question has been bothering me... In that scenario, is the opposing team obligated to get out of your way so you can reach the ball on their side of the court or are they allowed to get in your way and stop you from getting to the ball?

  1. yea, i noticed that with dolhauser (sp?) once or twice last night against the brazilians, it certainly appeared that "jaws"/fabio was running over to get in his way which was annoying, but i don't think he was gonna get there anyway because for some reason he decided to go around(i was confused by that one dolhauser), but i agree with the first answer, im pretty sure interfering isn't allowed

  2. Yes otherwise the referee can call interference and give a point to the other team.
