  1. Yes, as long as she is celebate (if single) and doesn't try telling the church leaders what to do and how to run the church.

Although why ANYONE would WANT to be RS president is way beyond me!

  2. Of course not.  Weaththy?  No problem.  Feminist... much more difficult.  g*y?  Not likely since they'd fail the temple interview questions.

  3. Only if she remains celibate and hides her intellect and feminist views.  : )  I'm sure the popular and wealthy bit would be no problem.

  4. God chooses whom He chooses, but worldly success has nothing to do with spiritual matters.

  5. I try never to shoot anyone's aspirations down. Be all that you can be.

Oh, and you forgot to add "chicken-sacrificing Satan-worshipper" to your list.

  6. You just have to ask yourself "Why would it want to?"

  7. There's nothing saying they couldn't.  If they can deal with internal struggles I'd say they'd be fine for the calling.

  8. popular - The Lord doesn't care how popular or unpopular one is when extending callings.

wealthy - The Lord doesn't care how wealthy or poor one is when extending callings.

g*y - The Lord only cares as to whether or not she is obeying the law of chastity, which means no s*x outside of the bonds of matrimony.  And through our living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, we know that the Lord only recognizes marriage between man and woman.

feminist intellectual - As long as she's humble enough to recognize that man's learning is nothing compared to the knowledge of God and willing to follow him and his prophets, she's fine.  I've actually had a RS president in this category, she was wonderful, and only released because she moved away.  We were in Gainesville, Florida, and she was a teacher in Women's Studies at the Univ. of FL (fairly liberal university).
