I came to the US on a dependent (H4) visa and I changed that to a F1 student visa to go to college. I have since decided to transfer to an overseas college but I want to stay in the US for at least LONGER THAN MY F1 ALLOWS ME TO STAY WITHOUT STUDYING. Is it possible for me to change my F1 back to the H4 which I initially came so that I can have more time to stay legally in the US?

  1. Should be doable as long as you're under 21 and your qualifying parent is still working as a H1b. If you do, you'll need to reapply for an H4 visa back home to come back to the US and visit your parents.
