  1. umm any shirt will work

  2. It may stop the rash you are getting however it won't block uva and uvb rays.

  3. You can use anyshirt you want to... Or the chances of getting a rash two times in a row is very low... you get it once and then you are pretty much immune to it.

  4. Yes, you could definitely use an under armor shirt, but it reeks of kook.

But hey, I'd rather be able to surf for hours than to worry about if my chest and abs are rubbed raw.

The positive thing about Under Armor is that the moisture wicking ability of the shirt will prevent you from getting dehydrated too quickly.  It won't protect you that much from UV radiation, but it's better than nothing.

I prefer the "Surf shirts" and sleeveless "Surf shirts" personally.  They're not skin tight like most rash guards are, and they perform almost as well as regular rash guards.

  5. yes it can be used as one.

im not really sure how well it will work, but im guessing it will be a lot better than nothing.

I guess so, but I doubt that Under Armor will hold up the way a rash guard does. They are both made from synthetic fibers, but the TYPE of fiber is important. rash guards are designed to GUARD AGAINST RASHES, and really any type of cloth covering will do that. That also r****d UV rays, so they guard against sunburn (and ultimately skin cancer) and they are designed to dry quickly, so they don't hold water and weigh you down (or accelerate body cooling - hypothermia is not cool.).

If Under Armor is made up of the same synthetics, then it might work.

  7. yea, im sure the underarmor will work

but i know if you wore one of those as a rash guard where i live, theyd (other surfers) lose alot of respect for you. if you dont care, then yea use the under armor.
