  2. X-rays are really only to show bones or any object that someone might have swollowed or stepped on or something, the best would be to do a ultra soundwich is pretty cheap and the government will reimburse you or do a cat scan or MRI(mri are really expenisve)

  3. I would not think so. Ligament would be transprent to the massive X-rays and so not show up. It is more dense material such as bone or metal that block the X-rays and so form the image.

    However, if your doctor had ordered a low dose X-ray, in order to spot the ligaments, he may be able to determine how extensive such damage might be.
