I saw a program on the discovery channel a year ago about how scientists are trying to cross an emu, an alligator, and a chicken to make a dinosaur. Do you think its a waste of time?

  1. That is  the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Dinosaurs cannot be created, it's not even possible in theory (see: reasons why Jurassic Park could never happen). Crossing random animals to make a pre-existing creature sounds like something out of a children's book, like if we tried crossing a zebra with a house cat to make a tiger.

  2. There is not enough DNA from any one dinosaur to attempt to clone a dinosaur.  Even with good DNA the task of cloning is difficult.

Personally, I would love to be able to see living dinosaurs.  It would be difficult to feed the herbivorous species because the dominant flora that existed then is mostly gone.  Carnivorous dinosaurs would be easier to feed but containment could be a problem.  Even an escape-proof enclosure for gorillas, chimps and recently tigers have been breached by the animals that were enclosed in the displays!

So when I want to see a "dinosaur" I watch the birds coming to the feeder and the hawk feeding on the birds at the feeder!

  3. Probally. i wouldnt want dinosaurs running around. scary

  4. I've always wanted a pet triceratops.

  5. just people trying to play God
