Can and how would i install drywall to a mud/concrete walls

Im want to drywall a concrete wall its old and ugly is it posibbly and how would i attach it?

  1. Attatch furring strips (strips of wood) to the wall using construction adheisive and concrete nails/screws, then attach the drywall to the furring strips.


  2. It depends on the concrete and the moisture level.

    Not having seen it I would suggest a layer of moisture barrier (plastic) and then s******g or nailing furring strips to the concrete and s******g the drywall to that.

    If the concrete is good, dry, above ground and flat I would likely glue the drywall right to it either with construction adhesive, drywall compound or one of the quick drywall cements like compound 90 or compound 45.
