I took Megace aka Megestrol Acetate oral suspension. I stopped taking it due to chest pain and I still have chest pain 8 months after discontinuing it. It is more of a discomfort that is hard to describe. The subtle pain is present throughout the entire day (for months). EKG, stress test show normal. Could this medicine have screwed up my heart or arteries ?

I am not sure why you are continuing to have pain but the test would have shown if your heart muscle where damaged. You could request a Holter monitor to be worn for 24 hrs to see if any abnormalities show up.

Angina (an-JI-nuh or AN-juh-nuh) is chest pain or discomfort that occurs when an area of your heart muscle doesn't get enough oxygen-rich blood

  2. In short, no. If cardiac ischemia is prolonged, then one of 2 things usually happen.

    1) the patient's heart is so damaged that he/she dies.

    2) a large part of the heart dies, and the pain fades.

It could be gastric reflux. Talk to your doctor.
