My doc has prescribed me fluoxetine to help with my CFS. I have heard that they can make you drowsy, I already suffer from extreme tiredness so was wondering why he would give me these if they make me even more tired? What benefits can anti-depressants have for people with CFS that take them? Have you heard of any "success" stories of people taking them for CFS and feeling a lot better? It is just I am only 24 and have been off work for 10 weeks and I really want to get back, I want my "normal" life back, I have been feeling this way for about 8 months, I am so fed up of being tired constantly and I am really hoping these work. Thanks

  1. I don't think they can pinpoint a cure or cause  for CFS so they keep trying different things until you either get used to the way you feel or get better yourself.  Any chance of you having Lyme disease ?
