  1. it gets dark if you dont drink enough water,i dont think the antibiotic has nothing to do with the color of the urine. is the antibiotic for urinary infection?

  2. The drug is called ciprofloXACIN. Its evacuated through the kiddneys, so the urine gets darker, its normal. You should drink more water whyle taking the drug.

  3. Probably.  Read the side effects or do a google search for your medicine to learn more :D

  4. Fernando, Xena and Necris are correct in their answer. But it is probably a really good idea to call the doctor, who prescribed the antibiotic, to let them know your lastest symptom. They will tell you why your urine is dark.  Eat lots of yogurt, drink cranberry juice, and  lots of water.  Barb

  5. It very well could be.

How much water do you normally drink? Dehydration also causes darker urine.

Do you drink fruit juices, other than ones that you may have made yourself with a juicer? Certain juices can also make your urine dark.

Anti-biotics wreak havoc on your body. They not only kill the nasty bacteria but they also kill all of your good bacteria, or at least keep it from growing. Make sure that you eat yogurt or find a good probiotic to take during and after your treatment as other flora such as fungus will thrive in your body and cause a plethora of different side effects. In the long run that is,..

Also, your liver and kidneys can really become damaged as well so it might be good to consider a liver cleanse. Most "good" liver cleanses involve drinking water with lots of hand pressed lemon juice (organic lemons are best as they dont have pesticides, etc) from a glass container. Why glass? Because plastic is a reactive substance and you shouldnt use it with anything that you're about to ingest, including water and especially when you cook or reheat things in the microwave.
