Question:

Can ants join another colony?

If an ant gets separated from its colony can it join with another one? I'm talking really separated because I know if they are close enough they'll just follow scent trails back to their original colony. What if there are no trails back? Does it die sad and alone?

  1. They can join other colonies, but other colonies are considered cults.  The original colony will send out ant-nappers to go to the wayward ant's new colony and ant-nap him back.  They usually have to go through some de-brainwashing, but their little brains are so tiny, it doesn't take long.

  2. No they cannot join other colonies. If they try to enter another nest they will be treated as invaders.
