when i have really bad anxiety, and panic attacks, i experience a really intense feeling of going insane. like i'm losing control of my mind, and i get really confused. all thoughts are irrational, and i start to fear like i might do something crazy, like hurt someone. i'm a good person, and i would never intentionally hurt someone- which is why this is such a scary experience. is this normal for panic attacks, or am i really going insane? is it not panic attacks? i'm confused, and quite frankly, very scared.

  1. In my own experience with a family member, anxiety and panic disorder were not linked to violence at all. Kind of the opposite; she wanted to withdraw from all human contact, not lash out.

If you're this worried about it, you might well benefit from counseling. Your doctor or your school counselor can recommend the right person.

  2. many times people who are depressed will have anxiety and panic attacks to pull them out of the depression....If you feel that you will hurt someone then you need to see your dr.  I dont think you are that type of person based upon what you said about yourself...

    best wishes

  3. You ansered your own question (when I have really bad anxiety and panic attacks, i experience a really intense feeling of going insane)

Your not going insane, the feelings are jus overwhelming and I dont think you would never do somethin crazzy like hurt someone. Isnt anxiety attacks when you worry about somethin that wont happen for no reason at all?

I started out taking prozac 20mg daily.. then it dropped to 10mg and now I am just taking 5mg and still doing very well. I might be considering taking medication off my life.

And most importantly, I am here to help you because I know how it feels to have anxiety or panic attacks.

And to answer your question:  Don't worry, you won't hurt - that is just your panic!  I used to have the same thoughts as you, only to realize it is just pure panic.  You need to stop that thought and get busy thinking of something else or you will be fueling your panic to a full-bblown!

I have just posted a new entry and uploaded some good files for you to do some relaxation, and there are techniques to overcalm immediately!

    All the best,

  5. Yes, I used to feel the same way. Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had overwhelming anxiety. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda or diet to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia, gastrointestinal issues and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air
