  1. i don't know what snooker is but i can tell u pool. to shoot, u take the cue and hit the cue ball into other balls and get them in the pockets. in 8 ball u arrange the  balls 1-15 and someone breaks. @ 1st u can shoot  @ any ball except the 8 ball. once somebody sinks 1 (stripe or solid) they shoot @ only stripes if it was a stripe or only solids if it was solid. the other person shoots @ solids or stripes (whichever the other person isn't shooting @). once all of a persons balls (all the stripes or all the solids) (this does not include the 8 ball or the cue ball) are all sunk, they shoot @ the 8 ball. whoever sinks the 8 ball (when all there balls are gone) wins.

details: 1) if u sink the cue ball ur turn ends and the other person can place the cue ball anywhere on the table for their shot. 2) the cue ball must hit ur ball 1st or ur turn ends 3) if u sink the 8 ball  when ur not supposed 2 u lose 4) u must say witch pocket u want the 8 ball 2 land in if ur shooting @ it. if it goes in any other pocket u lose 5) if u sink the cue ball while shooting @ the 8 ball u lose.

i also no 9 ball, 15 ball, and cut-throat. i wont explain those now i don't want 2 go any longer, but if u want 2 learn those find me id b glad 2 tell u

  2. You shoot the red balls first. If you make a red ball then you can shoot any numbered ball. If you you make it you keep shooting this way adding points. Red balls count as one. If you do not hit the right ball you loose points. When all red balls are gone you shoot the numbered balls in order. Any time you can not hit the right ball you loose points.

  3. You can find the rules for pool (pocket billiards) at the BCA website, and you can find rules for snooker at the IBSF website.  I will post both links below.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
