Can any body give some info. about flying to guatemala instead of el salvador?

flying to El salvador cost twice as much as flying to guatemala I would like to know how can i do to go from guate. city to santa ana el salvador

You can arrive to La Aurora international airport in Guatemala and take the panamerican highway and it takes you like 3 hours to arrive to Santa Ana. You can get into el Salvador throught the border called San Cristobal, this one takes you directly to "La Ciudad Heroica" Santa Ana.

The time from San Cristobal to Santa Ana is more or less 40 minutes.

Just an advice be very careful everywhere in El Salvador. If you have questions in the border ask directly to any police or anybody inside the border. Dont trust to much on street people!!  and dont make "obvious" that you are a tourist. ...You know they see  a tourist people think just in money hahahahaha

My best advice could be to take a taxi from the airport to the border because i dont find truthful the public buses for a tourist..no way!!   You can check any website for any special bus line like Greyhound here in USA. I know there are special buses from guatemala to el salvador with stops in santa ana but sadly i dont remember the company name.  I'm gonna check to find something, if so  im gonna post the link in here ok

I found this website but it's from the Comalapa international airport. It could be easier for you to arrive to el savador airport... dont you??

OMG!! I found the buses name check all these links, they are like Greyhound USA and this kind of transportation is safe and  appropriate for a tourist!

EDIT I know !! it is so expensive. i wanted to go to el salvador this month but the prices reached $600 and keep going high. I hope you have a good trip and check the links i gave you about the buses ok. Any question just edit this question and i will answer

Not sure where you are flying from, but usually you can good really good deals on Taca, which flies through El Savador.
